PRIVACY POLICY FOR PHAPP

Thank you for using PHapp (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). PHapp is designed to aggregate health and safety alerts and present them in one convenient location. We value your privacy and are committed to maintaining the trust of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use PHapp.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Selected Community

  • What We Collect: When you use PHapp, you have the option to select a community (e.g., a city, region, or specific group) to personalize the alerts you see.
  • Why We Collect It: We use this information solely to tailor the health and safety alerts displayed in the App.

1.2 Anonymous Signal Measurement

  • What We Collect: We measure anonymous signals such as:
    • How many times content was interacted with (e.g., view plays, link clicks etc).
    • General usage trends (e.g., frequency of feature usage).
  • Why We Collect It: We use these anonymous signals to measure how content is being used and for high level audience awareness .
  • How It Remains Anonymous: The analytics data does not include personally identifiable information (“PII”). We do not link any collected data to your identity or any unique identifier or profile.

1.2 Anonymous Analytics (Opt-In)

  • What We Collect: If you choose to opt in, we collect anonymous usage data such as:
    • App performance metrics (e.g., load times, crashes).
    • General usage trends (e.g., frequency of feature usage).
  • Why We Collect It: We use these insights to improve the App’s functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • How It Remains Anonymous: The analytics data does not include personally identifiable information (“PII”). We do not link any collected data to your identity. Unique random identifiers are not linked to your identity either and are fully reset whenever opt-in is toggled or when downloaded app is reinstalled or browser app is accessed via a new session.

2. NO PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

  • No PII Collected: We do not require a sign-up process, nor do we request your name, email address, or any other contact information.
  • No Account Creation: Because there is no user account creation, we do not maintain any profile or store any personal data that could identify you.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • Personalization: To display relevant health and safety alerts based on your chosen community.
  • App Improvement: To understand usage patterns and trends when you opt in to provide anonymous analytics. This helps us:
    • Diagnose technical issues and improve performance.
    • Enhance existing features and develop new features.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

  • Service Providers: We may work with third-party service providers to process anonymous analytics data on our behalf. These providers are obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of the information and are prohibited from using it for any purpose other than providing services to us.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data (since we do not collect PII) with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. DATA SECURITY

  • Protection Measures: We take reasonable security measures (technical, administrative, and physical) to protect any data collected through the App from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.
  • Limited Data Collection: Because we do not collect PII, there is minimal risk of identifying any user in our database or through our analytics.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

PHapp is not designed for or marketed towards children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect personal data, it inherently poses no particular risk to children’s privacy. If you believe a child under 13 has provided any information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

7. YOUR CHOICES

  • Opt In or Out of Analytics: You have the choice to enable or disable the sharing of anonymous analytics data at any time through the App’s settings.
  • Community Selection: You can change your selected community in the App settings. No historical data associated with your community selection is retained once you change it.

8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

PHapp may provide links to third-party websites or resources that contain additional health or safety information. We do not control or endorse the content or privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices. We will post the updated Privacy Policy within the App, and the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of PHapp after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
